About
The team and thesis behind Growl.
Growl is the monetization layer for AI-native products. We give teams shipping AI assistants, copilots, and agents a way to carry advertising inside generated responses — without building an ad stack from scratch.
The open web's advertising model was built around a surface that's disappearing: the page. AI products don't return pages. They return answers. That shift breaks the interfaces ads used to live in, and opens up a cleaner one: ads that respond to what the user is actually trying to do, delivered as part of the response itself.
What we write about here
- How real-time bidding works when the surface is a streaming token response
- Privacy and consent when ad decisioning happens server-side
- Why contextual targeting becomes stronger, not weaker, in conversational interfaces
- Creative formats that fit inside generated answers instead of wrapping them
- The economics of running ads against AI inference
What Growl is not
Growl isn't a rewrite of the programmatic stack. It's the integration layer between an AI product's response generation and the existing RTB ecosystem — DSPs, SSPs, and the identity, compliance, and measurement systems advertisers already use.
